Question: Why is #RealPowerBI free? What’s the catch?

#RealPowerBI is our way of giving back to the community 🤝🏼 by offering free help for selected projects. Please note that:

  • #RealPowerBI is application based and not all applicants may be selected. If you are looking for immediate help or help with a critical project, contact us for Paid Power BI Consulting

  • #RealPowerBI is ideally suited for simpler projects for organizations starting out on Power BI. For advanced projects, contact us for Paid Power BI Consulting

  • #RealPowerBI is time limited engagement. Your engagement would last between 4-6 weeks

  • Your results may vary and are not guaranteed. Although, past projects have achieved incredible success.

Question: How does #RealPowerBI work?

#RealPowerBI is real simple:

  • We bring real business users (just like you)

  • And match them with qualified Power BI Professionals inside our Power BI Consultant community

  • You will work together in a Private, one-on-one setting. Your data will always remain confidential

Question: What about my sensitive company data?

#RealPowerBI is no different than hiring a paid consultant. We are professionals. We would gladly sign an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) and promise to handle all your company data safely and securely.

Note: A few selected projects are presented online, but only with the explicit permission of the project owner and after any sensitive data & names/company names have been removed.

Question: How can I increase the chances of my project getting selected?

Up to 80% of Submitted Projects were matched with a Power BI Professional in the last rounds of #RealPowerBI. But here is what you can do to further increase the chances of your project being selected

  • Submit your projects early

  • Provide accurate and detailed information when submitting your #RealPowerBI Project

Question: Do I need to respond immediately if my project is selected and I am notified?

Yes! We reach out to selected projects and if you do not respond in a timely fashion, we may move on to other projects.

Question: Can I first meet the Power BI Professional and then decide if I want to work together?

Yes, absolutely! Once your project is selected, your assigned Power BI Professional would reach out to you to set up an introductory meeting.

This would be a chance for you to get to know each other and discuss project requirements. If you don't feel comfortable due to any reason, you don't need to continue the project and can opt-out.

Question: I have heard that RealPowerBI Projects are presented on YouTube, What if I am NOT Okay with that?

Selected RealPowerBI Projects are presented as part of our finale. However the project will:

  • Only be presented if you provide an explicit approval to do so

  • Only be presented after any sensitive data, names, company names have been removed
    (you would be able to review the presentation before hand to confirm)

Rest assured, you would always be in control.
