Terms & Conditions for Speakers
Okay folks, this is pretty much a friends and family affair, which is awesome!
But I still wanted to put down some simple terms, just to make sure we are all on the same page and there are no surprises.
If you do not agree with any of this, that’s cool, just decline the invite. No hard feelings, but we would appreciate if you drop us a line before doing so. May be we can tweak things to make them work for everyone.
YOUR PRESENTATION
You promise to show up for your presentation in a timely manner (as it would be hard to do this without you :-)
Join instructions would be sent to selected speakers in a calendar invite.If due to an emergency situation, you would be unable to present, notify us immediately. If you can help us find a replacement speaker, we would certainly appreciate that.
You can use your own PowerPoint file/template or Power BI Desktop files.
When I participated in Conferences, I never liked it when they asked me to put my slides in their template. Inevitably, the colors/formatting would get messed up and I would have to spend quite some time fixing it. So I don’t have the heart to do that (but see the next point)Keep your branding light in your PowerPoint / Power BI Desktop files. A small logo & company or website name in the corner is fine, but it should not be a screaming large text throughout the presentation. Just be classy okay :-)
Focus on Content & Delivering Value, Limit the “Sales” Call-to-Action. Hey, I love sales and I love making money. But I have felt the best approach is to deliver incredible value, and then make a simple ask (Call-to-Action) to drive them to Sales.

Present your content, deliver incredible value
Closing, have a call-to-action* which would directly or indirectly make you money!
* Call-to-Action can be for them to go to your website download the files in the presentation (where they would submit their email, which you can use to followup). Or a more direct call to action to go to your website and book a free initial consultation call with you. Or anything in between
But avoid inserting references through the presentation for your paid offerings. Save that call-to-action for the end.
YOUR PARTICIPATION IN EVENT PROMOTION
We would be going all out to promote this event and get you the biggest audience possible.
But we can’t do it alone. We request you to do your part in promoting the event. We would try our best to provide you with ready made Social Media Images you can use in Social Posts or on your Website. But you can always simply direct people to http://www.PowerBIConference.com to register for a chance to hear you and other amazing speakers
YOU ARE COOL WITH THIS
The registration to Conference is free and we would do everything possible (including email promotion, social media promotion and paid advertising) to draw as big an audience for you as possible.
You give us the right to live broadcast your session.
You give us the right to record your session and use the recording later. At present we plan to make the recording (replay) available to registrants for free as well. But we reserve the right change this to a paid option in future to recoup costs. We may also include the recorded sessions in other paid offerings.
You would not share the recording via other means with your followers, without explicit permission from us.
We reserve the right to change the terms. This page will always reflect the most updated terms for Conference speakers
